Parks Everywhere

Milwaukee also offers an enormous number of parks for children, dogs, and adults to enjoy. Lake Park, Riverside Park, Elmbrook, Estabrook, Grant, Atwater, Brown Deer, Veterans, and Doctors are just a few. My favorite park is Doctors Park because it has a lot of woods where I can hike and explore. I also like Lake Park because it is near my house, and I take my dog there to play. It is so good that Milwaukee has all these parks because there are so many activities for people to do. You can play football, soccer, baseball, Frisbee, go ice-skating, or go to the beach. It is nice that Milwaukee has so much space for people to play.

A Wonderful Christmas Play

Another thing that makes Milwaukee so great is the shows the theatres put on. They add to all the fun things there is to do. I went to see A Christmas Carol at the Pabst Theatre with my parents, my two brothers, and sister. It was my first time seeing the play, and I liked it very much. I liked it because it had cool special effects like fake fog and snow. The costumes were also neat and the acting was good, except it was sometimes hard to understand the British accents. The Pabst Theatre was well-designed. It had nice chandeliers and the ceilings were very pretty. My favorite part about seeing the play was getting to see the theatre because it was my first time there. I think Milwaukee is great because it has such nice theatres and great plays and plays for everyone to watch.

The Beautiful Lights of Milwaukee

One of Milwaukee's best sites around the holiday season is the Christmas light decorations. About a week ago, my dad and I went to see the lights. We went to Pere Marquette Park, Zeidler Union Square, and the Miller Brewery. Pere Marquette Park had all different lights in the shapes of trains, sleighs, elves, and teddy bears. Zeidler Union Square had lights in the shape of leaping dolphins that lit up one by one. There was also a pirate ship with pirates and swords made to look like candy, a motor boat, a row boat with passengers, whales, and alligators too. At the Miller Brewery there were lights that made stars and blinking lights. My favorite light display was at Zeidler Union Square because it was the most artistic. The lights shows around Milwaukee are just one of the neat things the city has. Milwaukee does a good job of making people feel the Christmas spirit.
